I Write the Songs

Music has crept back into my routine and I am currently involved in two projects. The first is a one-off collaboration with a number of very talented musicians from the U.S. and Europe. The guitar and drums tracks were provided first with several of us each adding parts, such as vocals, bass, etc. I provided the lyrics for this particular track. I'm considering adding keyboards, though I'm not certain it needs it. The track will be mixed and reposted. I look forward to hearing the result.

The second project is a re-recording of one of my old original songs. One of my screenwriting friends recently got the green light to have her script made into a film. Having heard this particular song a few years ago, she told the producers she wants it to be the theme song for the movie. They told her to have me submit it for consideration. As the only existing version is a poorly recorded demo, I'm recording a new version that they will hopefully like. There's no guarantee that they'll use the song, but I'm hopeful. Did I mention the film will be in Italian?

I've been off of this horse for a while now. It feels good to be back in the saddle.
